The Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum, next to Hozenji Temple, shows ukiyo-e from Osaka, mostly prints of kabuki actors from the Dotonbori theatres. This exhibition looks at black: the outlines of the actors, ink that shines differently as you change your angle, and printing techniques that play black against white. Magnifying glasses can be borrowed at the reception. The upper floors are reached by stairs only.
