How to use Tenbin Travel

Follow these steps to find a product, check shops, and compare available prices. Public pages can be viewed without signing in.

Read the public comparison first

Check the product name, size and JAN code where available. In the comparison summary, “shops compared” counts the shops represented in that comparison; it does not count every shop in Minami. The spread is the difference between the highest and lowest representative single-item prices. A single shop cannot establish a price difference between shops.

Open the existing MUKUMI search below, select the matching product and read its live comparison summary. Values and coverage can change; no example price is fixed in this guide.

How price records are entered

Price registration supports manual entry of a product, shop, amount, tax and discount conditions. Product photos can assist product identification and data entry; a photo alone is not proof of the price or a purchase.

Receipt reading lets the user review and correct recognized items, select the product and shop, and confirm registration. Recognition alone does not publish every item. These are registration paths, not a claim that every listed price has a receipt, verified purchase or field inspection.

How a representative price is chosen

For each shop, eligible price records are ranked primarily by their positive (“correct”) votes. Where vote counts tie, correction targets receive preference. The newest or cheapest submission is not automatically the representative price.

Corrections retain a relationship to the original record. Votes are feedback, not a count of independently verified purchases. Update dates describe price-record updates, not inspection dates, purchase dates or guaranteed stock.

Compare like amounts

Tax-included and tax-excluded are entry conditions; the service calculates tax using the entered tax rate. Discounts have their own conditions and dates. The displayed amount does not guarantee tax-free eligibility.

In Domestic Tenbin, available unit prices compare weight per 100 g, volume per 100 ml, and other measures per displayed unit. Travel comparisons should use the same product size and quantity. A missing quantity cannot produce a unit price. Compare a bulk offer per item rather than its total against a single item. Domestic “effective” prices can reflect point settings; Domestic and Travel keep separate price data.

Find a product

  1. Open product search.
  2. Search by product name, brand, barcode, or category.
  3. Open a result to check the product name, maker, size, and JAN code.
  4. If you have valid access, compare current Travel prices for participating shops.

Use your Wishlist and receipts

Save products to your Wishlist while planning your shopping. You can mark an item as bought and scan a receipt later to confirm the purchase and eligible Travel price information.

Corrections and feedback

Price screens may offer rating or correction actions. Use the feedback button or contact page to report display problems or unclear information.

Check quantities, discounts and dates

When shop prices are available to you, compare the same size and quantity. Bulk offers show a quantity and total; do not compare their total directly with a single-item price. Check discount conditions and dates. The displayed amount alone does not establish tax-free eligibility; confirm the tax and discount conditions at the shop.

The update date is the time the price record was updated. It is not a promise of daily field checks or current stock. “Lowest” refers to the listed comparison, not all shops in Osaka. Confirm the shelf price and conditions before buying.

Use shops and the map in Minami

  1. Find a product and check whether comparison data is available.
  2. Open Shops to check the shop name, Japanese name and available photos. Use List or Map to find its location.
  3. Open a shop to see available product information. A shop with no listed prices is not evidence of no stock.
  4. Save items to your Wishlist for your shopping plan. Recheck the product and shelf price at the shop.

FAQ: access, missing information and corrections

Do I need to sign in? Public product and shop pages can be browsed without signing in. Exact shop prices are shown according to your current Travel price access; check the access page for the applicable offer.

Why is a name still Japanese or a photo missing? Only available translations and images are shown. A Japanese name can help identify the item at the shop; a missing photo does not establish availability.

What if a price is wrong? First check the product size, shop, tax and discount conditions. Use the price correction action where available. For unclear information, contact us with the page, product, shop and date checked. The contact form does not provide individual replies.
